Job description
Be(come) the Experience – Make Kapten & Son feel at home in Italy.
We are Kapten & Son. With over 250 Kaptens, we work every day to become Europe’s leading D2C backpack brand. Our backpacks accompany people on their everyday experiences — and you make sure our brand doesn’t just exist in Italy, but truly belongs there.
Start: immediately
Location: Italy (remote)
Your Kapten Experience includes
Localizing & shaping the Italian market: You translate and adapt marketing content, from product pages to campaigns and ads, with cultural precision, not just linguistic accuracy. You understand what resonates with Italian consumers and feed those insights back to HQ to sharpen our offer and positioning.
Building influencer & community marketing: You develop a network of micro and macro influencers across fashion, lifestyle, and everyday culture, negotiate and activate partnerships, from gifting to ambassador programs, and own the results, not just the activity.
Managing social media & creating content: You run our Italian social media presence on Instagram and TikTok, adapt global content for the local market, and independently create original content, you’re comfortable both in front of and behind the camera.
Analyzing performance & optimizing: You track market and performance data, derive clear recommendations, and implement optimization measures consistently, always with a sharp eye on ROI and measurable outcomes.
Collaborating across the crew: As the central link between the Italian market and our international team, you work closely with Country Management, Marketing, E-Com, and Content.
What's already in your bag
A-levels or a completed degree, ideally in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a comparable field
First experience in influencer marketing, content creation, brand management, or e-commerce, passion and drive matter more than a perfect CV
A deep understanding of the Italian market, local trends, and cultural codes, you’re an Italian native speaker who knows what moves the audience
A strong eye for aesthetics, visual language, and social media formats, you spot emerging trends before the algorithm does
Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on attitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving international remote setup
Strong written and spoken English for internal communication with HQ
What awaits you
Flexibility: Flexitime + remote work
Workation: Up to two weeks a year from your favourite European spot
Crew Love: Regular company and team events
Growth: Personal development opportunities and quarterly feedback conversations
Perks: Subsidized sports options, corporate benefits, and employee discounts
Volunteer Day: One paid day for your voluntary work
Ready to join the crew?
Being a Kapten by heart means being there for each other, acting with passion, and having the courage to truly make things happen. If you’re ready to treat the Italian market as your own project and bring Kapten & Son to life there — Carolin looks forward to hearing from you.
