Job description

Be(come) the Experience – Design creatives that perform in everyday life.

We are Kapten & Son. With over 250 Kaptens, we work every day to become Europe's leading D2C backpack brand. Our backpacks accompany people on their everyday adventures – and you make sure those moments come to life in strong, data-driven creatives that truly land on Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest.

Start date: 15.09.2026

Your Kapten Experience includes

  • Creating performance creatives: You design static ads for Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and other paid social channels, with a sharp eye for impact, scroll-stopping potential, and brand consistency.

  • Adapting and scaling campaigns: You translate existing campaigns across different countries, formats, and target audiences, making sure our visual worlds work everywhere.

  • Developing new assets: Based on performance learnings and creative briefings, you develop fresh designs that don't just look great – they perform.

  • Concepting and executing A/B tests: You support the conception and design of A/B tests and bring your own ideas on what we should try next.

  • Building templates and design systems: You create scalable templates and design systems that make our creative production more efficient and consistent.

  • Working cross-functionally: You collaborate closely with Performance Marketing, Campaign Management, and the Content teams and actively contribute your perspective.

  • Using AI tools: You leverage AI tools to support the design process and are excited to explore and develop new workflows.

What's already in your bag

  • Ongoing studies in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Media Design, or a comparable field

  • Confident use of the Adobe Creative Suite

  • A strong sense for layout, typography, imagery, and visual communication

  • Interest in social media, performance marketing, and data-driven design

  • Curiosity about AI tools and a genuine enthusiasm for trying out new workflows

  • Structured way of working, initiative, and a team-first mindset

  • First practical experience through university projects, internships, or freelance work, a plus, but not a must

What awaits you

  • Flexible working: Flexitime and the option to work remotely for half of your working hours

  • Workation: Want to explore the world? No problem. Work from your favourite European destination for up to two weeks a year

  • Feel-good atmosphere: A modern office right on the Rhine, with everything you need – from our in-house barista to subsidised lunch

  • #crewloveistruelove: Regular company and team events and creative workshops

  • Students Club: Monthly activities with all interns and working students

  • Learning & Development: Personal development opportunities and quarterly feedback sessions

  • Discounts: Corporate benefits and discounts on our products

  • Volunteer Day: Paid time off for your voluntary work #SocialResponsibility
