Job description
Be(come) the Experience – Make brand moments visible that truly move people.
We are Kapten & Son. With over 250 Kaptens, we work every day to become Europe's leading D2C backpack brand. Our backpacks accompany people through their everyday experiences – and you make sure those experiences reach the world through strong PR work and authentic partnerships.
Duration: 6 months | Start: 15 August 2026 | Location: Cologne
Your Kapten Experience includes
Shape product seedings creatively: You're part of the process from day one – from creative and operational planning through to the execution of product seedings for press representatives and international influencers.
Handle press enquiries: You serve as the point of contact for incoming press enquiries, making sure our brand voice comes across clearly and authentically.
Coordinate partnerships: You manage product orders and their personalisation for our brand and cooperation partners – keeping track of everything and ensuring smooth workflows.
Bring PR actions and events to life: You support the team in planning and executing branding and PR activations, as well as organising PR events that make our brand tangible.
Create press releases and reportings: You draft press releases and compile PR reportings that show the real impact of our work.
What's already in your bag
You're studying Communication, Marketing or Design – or have recently completed your degree
Ideally, you've already gained some first experience in PR or events
You bring creativity and a strong sense for aesthetics and organisation
You're reliable and well-organised – even when things move fast
You speak fluent German and English; knowledge of French, Dutch or Italian is a plus
You hold a valid driving licence
