Expansion Manager (m/f/d)

Hey! We are Kapten & Son – with around 200 employees, we work every day towards becoming Europe’s leading D2C backpack brand.

We’re looking for you if you’re excited to explore new international markets, drive expansion projects, and collaborate with different teams to actively shape Kapten & Son’s growth across Europe.

Start date: as soon as possible

This is what you will move with us...

• You will identify and analyze new, promising country markets for Kapten & Son’s expansion

• You will take project lead for market entry and scaling in these new regions

• You will ensure the necessary infrastructure is in place by evaluating and integrating local payment service providers and logistics partners together with our operation teams

• You will work closely with our Performance Marketing team to source relevant content and increase our brand's visibility in new markets

• Together with the CRM team, you will develop and optimize email communication for targeted customer engagement

• You will act as the interface between various departments (Marketing, Logistics, IT, Customer Service) to ensure smooth operations

• have a university degree in Economics, Marketing, International Business, or a related field

• have prior professional experience, e.g., in a fast-growing start-up, e-commerce company, or management consulting

• possess a solid technical understanding as well as a strong knowledge of online marketing

• have excellent communication and people skills, and enjoy working in an international environment

• are characterized by a high degree of independence, a proactive work ethic, and a strong “can-do” attitude

• are highly organized and have experience in project or growth management

• are fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
