Job description

Be(come) the Experience – Create moments that bring people together.

We are Kapten & Son. With over 250 Kaptens, we work every day to become Europe's leading D2C lifestyle brand. Our products accompany people in their everyday moments – and you make sure that those moments come to life behind the scenes too: through events that connect, inspire, and leave a lasting impression.

Start: immediately

Duration: 6 months

Your Kapten Experience includes

  • Shape & drive events: Together with your team, you support the planning, organisation, and execution of various marketing events – from the first idea to the final moment on-site.

  • Coordinate vendors & keep the overview: You act as the point of contact for external partners like caterers, tech teams, and decorators, making sure all the pieces come together.

  • Prepare materials & support meetings: You get event documents, presentations, and info materials ready, and support with minute-taking in event meetings.

  • Show up on-site & delight guests: You're hands-on during set-up and tear-down, look after guests with a service-oriented mindset, and contribute to a smooth event experience.

  • Wrap up & learn from every event: After each event, you collect feedback, create evaluations and reports, and help make every experience better than the last.

  • Bring creativity & keep things running: You contribute your own ideas to event concepts, themes, and decoration, and take on general tasks like scheduling, research, and data management.

What's already in your bag

  • Ongoing or recently completed studies or training in Event Management, Marketing, Tourism, Communications, or a related field

  • Genuine enthusiasm for the events industry and a passion for organising experiences

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once – even when things get busy

  • Flexibility and resilience, you're in it with full energy, even outside regular working hours

  • Initiative, drive, and a proactive, hands-on attitude

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Creativity and a desire to contribute ideas to event concepts and themes

  • Team spirit and a service-oriented approach when dealing with guests and partners

  • Strong communication skills in both German and English, and a confident presence in the team and with external partners

What awaits you

  • Flexibility: Flexitime and the option to work half of your hours remotely

  • Workation: Up to two weeks per year from your favourite European location

  • Our HQ on the Rhine: A modern office with a barista, subsidised lunch, and a view of the water

  • Crew Love: Regular team events and creative workshops

  • Students Club: Monthly activities with all interns and working students

  • Growth: Personal development opportunities and regular feedback conversations

  • Perks: Corporate Benefits and employee discounts

  • Volunteer Day: One paid day for your voluntary work
